The 2021 RAM 1500 Brings a Diesel Engine Option to Saskatchewan

June 2,2022

The 2021 RAM 1500 brings 3.6L, 5.7L, and 6.2L gas engines to Saskatchewan. However, those looking for a specific set of attributes may opt for the available 3.0L EcoDiesel V6. The 2021 RAM's diesel engine - available on Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited trims - can produce up to 260 horsepower. It can also provide 480 lb-ft of torque, which is enough to tow 5,597 kg and carry a payload of up to 925 kg. The 2021 RAM 1500 can use B20 biodiesel, and it has Active Grille shutters, which come standard for this engine. These traits help the V6 limit polluting emissions and get impressive fuel economy figures. Its ratings are 8.0 L/100 km on the highway and 11.1 L/100 km in the city.  Like other powertrain options for the 2021 RAM, the 3.0L EcoDiesel engine has an 8-speed automatic transmission. You can choose between 2WD and 4WD drivetrains. The 4x4 comes with an electronic shift-on-the-fly part-time transfer case. RAM 1500 trucks with a 3.0L diesel are available in Quad and Crew Cab designs. You can also choose between 6'4" and 5'7" boxes.  Contact our Saskatchewan dealership today if you would like to test drive a 2021 RAM 1500 with a 3.0L EcoDiesel engine.
