RAM trucks continue to improve their towing and hauling capability with each model. The new 2022 RAM 1500 trucks can tow up to 12,750 lbs with a 5.7L HEMI V8 Engine with eTorque.
These RAM models are manufactured using high-strength steel frames, increasing the truck’s towing capacity.
The towing capacity of the 2022 RAM 1500 truck changes with the engine type. The maximum capacity is the one with the V8 engine. If you choose a V8 engine without eTorque, this RAM truck is still capable of towing 11,610 lbs.
eTorque is a 48-volt system that enhances the launch torque by 130 lb-ft that works in favour of those who need to tow heavy loads. eTorque is standard with the V8 engine and the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine, but you have the option to go without it. The Pentastar V6 engine with eTorque can tow up to 7,730 lbs.
The 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine can tow around 12,650 lbs. It’s slightly lower than the 5.7L HEMI V8 with eTorque, but if you want to opt for outstanding fuel economy, its towing capacity will not disappoint you.
