The 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine has 22 miles per gallon (mpg) for city driving and 32 mpg on the highway for 2-wheel drives (2WD). The gas mileage decreases for a 4-wheel drive (4WD), and now it’s 21 mpg for the city and 29 mpg for highway driving.
The 5.7L HEMI V8 engine with eTorque has lower mpg than the V6 engine. With 18 mpg for the city and 23 mpg for the highway, the 2WD 2022 RAM 1500 trucks run smooth with the V8 engine. For 4WD, it’s 18 mpg and 22 mpg for city and highway, respectively. Despite the mileage, the 5.7L HEMI V8 engine with eTorque is the best engine for towing heavy loads.
The 5.7L HEMI V7 engine without eTorque provides 15 mpg for city and 22 mpg for the highway for a 2WD, but changes to 21 mpg for highway and remains same for the city for a 4WD.
The 3.6 Pentastar V6 engine with eTorque offers 20 mpg for the city and 25 mpg for highway driving with 2WD. It’s 19 mpg for city driving with 4WD but changes to 24 mpg for highway driving.
A supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 engine is only available for 4WD and offers 10 mpg for the city and 14 mpg for highway driving.
